I think the witch business isn't real. I think they all believe it in so it's another evil they have to stay away from! They believe in witchcraft to try and find answers to their problems. I think the adults find It easier to believe the kids because then they didn't sin and they obeyed God and don't have to get whipped. Abby comes up with a very convincing story for all the parents to believe but the parents are still in fear of witchcraft and disobeying God
In my opinion the witch situation should not be believed since they don't have proof. Since the parents don't know what happened, they don't know whether or not they should believe the kids. Abby is causing the other girls to have fear. She has acted out an the other girls are starting to worry.

I suppouse they could believe the kids because they might think that they are to innocent to pull off a lie like this. I believe that one reason they might believe Abby is because she is a very good liar and can make almost anyone believe her. The adults believe that their kids are bewitched not doing the witchcraft because they want to save their own reputation. Abby is a very outgoing girl who wants things her way. She will do anything to get people on her side, and make them commit to following her wants.

The parents think it is a real thing, so they make sure they are following there religion. They don't want them to drift off of there religion. All in all, I don't think this is a real thing.
I think the witch thing is not smart becuses if your a witch they kill you and if your accused of being a witch they kill you. The adults beleve this becuse there scared of loading land and there jobs. Abby is the the reverends niece which has an affair on her husband.

She is making all the other girls follow he lead because she is desperate for attention. In my opinion, I think that the hunting of witchcraft is taken way too far in "The Crucible." It is reasonable to be worried and frightened by witchcraft, but the town of Salem takes it way to far. If it weren't for the punishments of witchcraft the young girls who were practicing wouldn't be faking and hiding that they are not actually under a spell. I think that the only option the adults have is to believe the kids due to the circumstances. Witchcraft is hardly spoken of unless it is extremely serious. Personally, I feel that Abby is lying and deceiving and I wouldn't be able to trust her, yet I also know most of the horrible things that she has done and her peers do not.
